Ricks friends are helping his family by setting up a paypal account
where you will
be able to donate to help support all the medical costs and other expenses
that will be a huge need especially as a few more weeks go by.
The PayPall account will be set up on this site in a few days and
you will be able to donate at that time.

When we originally
posted this website, we weren't sure exactly what you could send
to rick.
T he
limitations are things that are organic, things that might carry
germs. In
other words you still can't send flowers or anything like that, but
you can certainly send cards and toys and other stuff
that wouldn't carry potentialy harmful germs on them.

Friends,
Thanks for your patience in waiting for another update.
Rick had a relatively good day today and is in good spirits as usual.
He's been ill from the chemotherapy treatments but is on great medication
to help with the nausea. Thank you for your continued respect of
Rick and his family in regard to visits. His environment
must remain very sterile and things change daily. We do have a very
specific prayer request as God brings him to your mind.
His Bilirubin levels went back up and then were down a
point this morning. Please pray that the levels will go down to 4
which is where they need to be. This needs to happen by
Tuesday, which is also Rick's birthday. He will have to
have a liver biopsy on Tuesday if the levels do not get down to where
they need to be. Needless to say, that wouldn't be a very
fun birthday present. If his levels can get down to normal,
he can receive normal doses of chemotherapy and hopefully begin to
get this under control. Rick and his family have asked
that you please pray that the levels will go down, allowing his liver
to process the chemotherapy and that this will happen by Tuesday
in order to go right to chemotherapy and avoid a liver biopsy.
We will of course let you know the status of things as soon as we
find out. Don't forget to put the September 16th benefit
concert on your calendar! We are hoping to see as many
of you there as possible!
Thank you,
Jeffrey and Shannon
