URGENT
Friends,
We've just spoken with Jonathan. PLEASE read Candi's post below. Doctors do not give this family any hope of Rick's recovery. The situation is bleak. There's no more "in a week we need to see..." or anything of the sort. As Jonathan said, "the doctors are done". They are pronouncing this situation irreversible.
Candi has given such a faithful example below of how we need to be praying for this situation. Please do this. Gather people together and storm the throne of God on Rick's behalf. Post your prayers to this website so that others may join you in crying out. We are begging you to make this a priority right now where you are. Though we cannot know the plans of the Father specific to this situation, we do know that His desire is to glorify Himself. He has been bringing glory to Himself for the past several weeks at Northside Hospital with every single person who has come in contact with Rick and his precious family. What is more glorifying than the gathering of His people of one heart and mind begging for His compassion and mercy over Rick and this family...
Please follow Candi's example below and pray for these things fervently and with others. Many of you have asked what you can do...this is what you can do and we need you to be doing it now. We BELIEVE in the power of prayer and BELIEVE God is fully able to do what we ask...we will keep asking...

I was totally drawn to pray---God's Spirit shouted "check out the website"---"now." So I did and I know it was because God is drawing believers in prayer on behalf of Rick and your family. Drawn in prayer so we can be confident of this, that God hears those who trust in him and are called according to His purpose. As Jerry Bridges says in Trusting God...God's glory and our good go hand-in-hand. They are inseparable.
I choose to trust Him alongside you in prayer to be the faithful God we know Him to be.
Peace be with you, brothers and sisters. Our God is not done.

I will not stop praying for Rick. Our God is faithful and will listen to each prayer for his recovery. Your entire family is on my mind constantly. Know that so many of us are hurting with you. Don't lose hope. God's glory will be revealed.

Dear family,
I've been gone all day at the hospital with my father. He is stable now, and for that, I am thankful.
Dearest Father...Our prayer is for you to heal Rick completely. For your will be done. I'm so thankful for the lives that have been touched at the hospital, our church, and to the ends of the earth through Rick. To you be the glory!! Be with Rick's family, Suzanne, her family and friends...grant them peace and continued trust in you.
In your son's precious name I pray,
Jenny

Hello Pearson Family,
I am so sorry about your loving son Rick. I don't really know him.... but i have been praying so hard for him. Rick is so talented and hopefully God will allow him to share his voice with the world again. I just want to encourage you all that God definately put him in a win-win situation. It would be incredible for God to allow him home, and it also would be incredible, for rick, if he goes to Heaven.
Keep believing

Dear Lord, Rick has been so strong. His family and friends and countless others continue to hold him up in spirit of prayer. Please, oh please father, fill our hearts with hope in this time of desperation. Rick has been a blessing to a countless number of people. Please help him to push though this so he can continue to glorify you in all that he says and does as he has done, oh so faithfully for so many years. Wrap your arms of comfort and grace around us. We love you Lord and we trust in you through all things.
In your precious and holy name,
Amen.

As soon as I read this message, I went up to my room, turned on The Little Drummer Boy on my NPCC Christmas CD (that's the only song I have with Rick on it), kneeled by my bed, and prayed for a while. My prayers for all of you will never cease. God is capable of things beyond what we can fathom. Candi, your love for God shines through everything you say. I am amazed by your faith. Many are praying!
Much Love,
Brittany

Lord I praise you today for being a loving Father. I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ and that He died for my sins. I thank you for forgiveness of my sins. I thank you that I can approach your throne blameless and that you hear my prayers. Lord, I stand with Candi and Jonathan, Jeffrey and Shannon, with my church, with my family and with all those whom I have never met on behalf of Rick Pearson. Lord I pray for your will over Rick's life and total healing for him. I pray that you will sweep your mighty hands across each cell in his brain, his liver and his entire body and restore him completely. Lord the doctors give us NO hope. They are men. I thank you for their knowledge in medicine but I believe that YOU have all the control in this situation. I believe that when men say there is no hope that there is ALWAYS hope in you. Lord I thank you for the miracle of Rick Pearson. Please give Rick's family strength, peace and let them feel your love for them. Lord I know you hear my prayers. I will not stop praising your name and I will not lose faith. All glory, all hope and all faith are yours Father. I love you. In Jesus' Holy name I pray. Amen
Rick and family,
I have never prayed on my face until today. I will keep praying.
Love to all of you!
Pam

Dear Daddy,
We come to you with our brother (in Christ) in desperate need of your healing hand. Please bring Rick 100% healing. You have been so glorified through his illness, and I am positive you will be glorified beyond imagination upon his healing. Daddy please do not let us lose our brother, who we love so much. PLEASE heal his beautiful brain that sings glorious songs for you, and brings the lost to you. Please heal his body that works hard and is always humble to bring the lost to you.
Please be with his family that is day in day out at the hospital with him. Please continue to give them strength as you have so far. Keep them faithful in knowing that the doctors have exhausted their resources, but you have NOT exhausted yours!
We love you Daddy and TRUST you,
Kim

Candi, Jonathan....
My heart is torn, my soul is yearning to see Rick healed and also to have you all comforted. The second I read this I called Masi and she affirmed me of your alls hearts being okay. I am so concerned for you to. She affirmed me Candi of your strength and heart being able to endure. I love you Candi and you mean so much to me (Jonathan you too...)
God, I along with so many other children of yours come before you and ask you in the name of Jesus that you would help us in our unbelief. God we profess that some are weak and some are strong in this situation. So many closely connected to this situation and so many are far away, God you have put this on our hearts for a reason. Bring pleasure to yourself and in that whatever the outcome is God bring comfort, joy, peace, and so much more that surpasses our understanding. God I pray that your flood gates of healing would open. I pray in the name of Jesus that all sickness would be cast out and that satan would have no hold on anyone. God we pray against any attacks on the hearts of the family or on Rick right now. God we understand that battles can come from hurt and dispair, but I am asking on the behalf of Candi, Jonathan, Suzanne, Candi's mom and Dad and so many more that you would heal Rick. God we know that this is out ultimate desire, but please continue to align the hearts of the family with yours God. Prepare them for whatever you would have for Rick. God allow questions to be asked of you, faith to be tested and our hearts shaken to beleive you in a more and real way through this situation. God I ask again and again that your Spirit would overflow in that hospital. I pray for people who don't know would come into relationship with you through this. God we love you and know that you have so much planned from this hard time. God bring wisdom to the family to hear what the doctors are saying and bring more and more wisdom to the doctors.
We Love and we praise you God. Be glorified.

You don't know me, but a friend has asked me to pray for you. God is still in the miracle business. He is at your side and holding you close even through your suffering. We are faced with so many challenges in life and I am sorry that this one is so extreme. I have full confidence that God's will is going to happen. God is in control. We refuse to believe that the fight it over. We all know that miracles happen every day. Our family continues to pray for a miracle for Rick because we believe his work here on earth is not done. We pray for God to allow us to keep Rick so that he may continue to touch thousands and thousands of more lives with is voice and with his faith. We pray for God to restore Rick so that these faithful followers can witness a miracle! Lord, we need a miracle and we pray that miracle is Rick. Lord, please hear our prayers...we plead and beg...please let us keep Rick so that he may continue his service to you here on earth with all of us that love him so much.
We love you, Rick.

I really feel like I've run out of words to express how much I want comfort and healing for our friend Rick. I don't know what else to say or how else to put it. But I do know that I am not ready to give up the fight. As we are growing weary and worried I pray for all of us who love and cherish this family, that we may continue to believe in God's greatness just as we have from the start. -Sara Shelton
"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith... Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur on another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together... but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching."
-Hebrews 10:22-25

We're still out here, dug in, and haven't changed regarding Rick's healing. Know that many are still firmly believing for his complete recovery, even though we may not post comments with each update.
I am again reminded that "the Lord's hand is not shortened at all, that it cannot save, nor His ear dull with deafness that it cannot hear" (Is.59:1).
Something the Spirit of God impressed upon me years ago was that if he (the devil) could have (killed me), he would have (done so already). "If he could have, he would have." Obviously, that means that he does not have the power, and for me, it took the starch out of the threats with which the enemy tried to use as continual torment.
The strategy of the devil is to use fear and doubt as primary tactics to accomplish his mission. He must move us off of faith in order to gain access to our lives. As we remain steadfast in the face of the storm, he has no choice but eventually to back down and back off.
He has already been defeated. Jesus did that. We need to be more relentless with that truth than our enemy is with our demise.
It is the enemy who comes to "steal, kill and destroy", but "Jesus came that we might have life, and life abundant" (Jn.10:10).
There must be something key to God's plan transpiring for the enemy to put up such a fight. Hold steady. Do not relinquish your faith in God to move this mountain. He is well able!

I am on my face before God lifting up Rick. I continue to pray for complete healing on this earth. God is good....all the time. I pray that He will continue to be glorified through Rick's life. I pray that people will come to know Him, because of Rick. I pray that He will do a work that cannot be explained in earthly terms. God, please, astound the doctors with your healing power and touch.

Dear Rick and His Family,
I am praying each and every day and even more so as I have read your message.
How precious you all are and how my heart goes out to you- the courage it takes to go through this and to hold on to faith as we all are doing.
God be with you and I pray God will restore Rick's brain.
In Him,

Lord, I thank you for the friend you have blessed me with. You have knitted together a wonderful person, and you have used Rick continuously to reach others and to minister to them. Father, we know that you have a plan for Rick. You are a miraculous God, and your ways are far above any of our imaginations. Blow us away with you healing power! I pray that your Spirit would saturate that room! Our minds are weak and our belief is hindered by this world....but you are Lord of lords and King of kings...I put my faith in you Lord. Heal my friend...

Father - We lift up Rick Pearson to you, our brother in Christ who needs you desperately. God, thank you that you have given Rick the breath of life each day to this moment in time. Thank you that his life has clearly brought so much glory to you through his music and the person you have created. Our hearts are so heavy for Rick, but God, we believe that you are the author of all people and all things, and we BELIEVE that the power to heal Rick is in your hands. And so we come to your throne, because you've asked us to, and ask for your incredible mercy on Rick and for complete healing of his physical body. The doctors are at their end, but your children know...it's up to You. We want to keep Rick here with us, and we pray with all that we have that this is your will. Father - be glorified. Prepare our hearts for what you have in store for us. Fill Rick's body & soul with with your amazing peace. Continue to bring your children to their knees in complete dependence on you. Be glorified through Rick. Please restore Rick to who you have created him to be.
In His name, Amen.

Dear Precious Saviour,
We ask You for total healing for Rick. We know You do All things for our greater good, but accepting that is not always easy. Help us to accept Your will. We pray Lord that You have Your hand upon Rick and Suzanne, and their families in a very special way right now. Rick is in Your care no matter what, but we ask You to bless us much longer here on earth with the same healthy, talented, loving, funny, precious Rick that we all know and love. Thank You sweet Jesus for loving us! Amen
Much Love to all, Judy and Butch

Candi & family,
I was sitting here watching Katrina coverage while my wife put our daughter to bed, and was, like others posting tonight, strongly drawn to check the website. I'm so glad I did... We have been praying for Rick for these last few weeks, and so has the staff here at West Ridge Church. We are praying now, and can't wait to see the results of the intercession of Rick's friends. I've only met him once (I had lunch with he and Shawn a couple of years ago), but was moved by his personality and character. His life is precious, and God is glorifying himself in this struggle. Think of all the saints who are seeing the power and importance of prayer through this... Lives will be changed forever!

God has always been the champion of the hopeless. He IS our only source of hope. We continue to pray that God will place his loving kiss on Rick and return him to full health.

God calls us to pray. And sometimes our hearts are doubting and losing hope that we are making a difference. But He is not going to change lives because we do or do not have an insurmountable amount of faith. He is calling us to obey His commands and simply pray. And this is what changes things. And so we will continue to lift up our prayers, regardless of the amount of faith and understanding we have.
