Music to our ears...

Friends,

Thank you on behalf of Rick's family SO MUCH for your prayers. Wanted to let you know that Candi will be sending an update on Rick's condition later, but we didn't want to go too long without letting you know about a new addition to the website.

When you go to the front page of Rick's site at www.rickpearson.org, allow the page to load for a bit and you'll see an icon down on the left hand side underneath Rick's picture. Press the play button and you'll be able to hear Rick singing "Even When" which is the song so many people have been referencing in their posts. This is a song written by a good friend of ours, Mike Gleason, and Rick sang the lead vocal a few months ago. It is on a children's CD and teaches children about faith. I think it teaches all of us. You'll understand not long after it starts why it has touched so many. Please allow this to be one more way that God ministers to you and assures you of His control as we continue to interceed for Rick.

WOW! Rick's song is amazing and just brings me to tears everytime I listen to it! His voice is so wonderful and he has such a wonderful gift from God! From the day I met Rick at Faulkner I have really looked up to him. He has such strong faith and I know that God has used him in HUGE ways everywhere he goes! He has funny personality and a sweet spirit about him and seems to keep people laughing all the time! He also has a serious side that is truly interested in people and their salvation! From watching Rick stand up boldly for Christ, he has encouraged me to deepen my faith and want to be more like Rick and more like Christ! I really thank God for Rick and the life that he boldly lives!
*Please let Rick know the Jeanne from the music dept. at Faulkner is praying for him and I have asked everyone from my church at home as well as my church in Troy (where I am at school now) to Pray! I can't even imagine how many people are praying for Rick on a daily basis!
With Love and Prayer,
Jeanne Prine

Rick's Mom:
You should be proud to be Rick's mom, he is an incredible young man. I have three grown son's of my own. I look at Rick as though he could be one of them. His music inspires me, and his Spirit in never failing. We all should be blessed to have known, listened to, and loved him. Know that my prayers are with all of you and that God has him in the palm of his hands and loves him with a never failing love. God Bless

I got a copy of the song and when I first listened to it I thought it was straight from Heaven. I'm not very good at memorizing lyrics but this one I did within the same day of listening to it and I'm sharing with co-workers and my family. I think it is awesome that we can have a little bit of Rick with us anytime we want to be reminded about god's greatness and how we should remain faithful to Him during the most adverse times.
Rick, thank you for singing, playing the guitar and sharing your faith with us.

Whoa! Jagger and I just sat quietly and worshipped with Rick in song. That song about raps up what we all believe. Thank you for the honor of sharing that with us.

Elaine,
You should be very proud to call Ricky your son!!! What mom could ask for anything more? I pray that Dylan and Jagger will grow up to love God and follow him with their whole hearts. Just like Ricky, knowing whatever comes their way, they can trust God no matter what.
You are loved,
Shelby

It has been so long since I have heard that beautiful voice and I am reminded all over again how desperately I miss it. Thank you for sharing it with us. Even now Rick is leading us in worship and praise. My kids are sleeping but I can't wait for them to hear it, they prayed for him tonight before they closed their little eyes. They are so young but they are learning such a powerful lesson through this experience, interceeding for other members of the body of Christ. My four year old asked me tonight "Why do we love Rick so much, is he my brother?" I told him "yes, he is our brother". What a great opportunity that provided me to teach them about loving and praying for each other.

We will keep praying for him as we have been, each and every time we approach the Father. You all are never far from our thoughts.
