"Fasting and Meditation 4"
"I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all." -Ephesians 1:16-23
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith- that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." -Ephesians 3:14-21
We are nearing the time of corporate prayer for my sweet brother, Rick, and the day has been one of excitement and great expectancy as Jesus has used so many of you to reflect His truth, mercy, and glory! We are so humbled by the way God weaves His people together, wonderfully reflective of the body of Christ. Thank you for standing firm with us in the beauty of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the abundant hope to which He has called us. We reflect on Your love, Father... the love that extends beyond our boundaries of high and low, near and far. We thank you for filling us with all the fullness of You, even when it isn't always safe and sunny. We glorify You, our Lord, You who are able to do more than the most outstanding thing our brains can fathom! You are to be praised!
He has been gracious in giving us one more day. I believe He has gotten His glory today as well!
It has been a good day...
...and the bilirubin decided to drop 2 more points today!
More faithful than sunrise are You, oh Glorious God!
His.

Praise you, our Father! 2 more points, that is amazing. Today has been one of praying, fasting and just thinking of what we have to be thankful for. I have to be honest with you, family of Rick. This is my first time ever fasting. Each time my tummy growls, I say a prayer for you, Rick and family. That has gotten me through lunch and now dinner. Candi, thank you so much for the many posts today. It makes me feel a little closer to each of you. Across many states, we are pulling together to show God how much we believe in Him.
Thank you for your words, Candi.

Psalms 93 KJV
1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. 2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. 3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. 4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. 5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.
Psalms 93 Revised Standard Version
1 The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed, he is girded with strength. Yea, the world is established; it shall never be moved; 2 thy throne is established from of old; thou art from everlasting. 3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice, the floods lift up their roaring. 4 Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty! 5 Thy decrees are very sure; holiness befits thy house, O LORD, for evermore.
Jesus:
We are that flood, we your people are lifting up our voices to you, we are roaring like thunder, entreating for Rick's life. We know his love is Yours, his soul is Yours, we now ask that You, dear God, touch his whole body and give him abundant health. May your name be glorified in all the World through a miracle tonight. We will worship you forever, you are the creator of everything and the One who determines the time and season for everything. Great is your faithfulness and your love endureth forever. Be with us tonight and every moment as we await on great news regarding Rick. Father, touch Rick's family and friends: give them peace, the kind that only comes from You and feels like a breath of fresh air. We can only wait on you, Lord. Please hear our prayer tonight and restore Rick's body. I love you, Lord. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you now with many, many others on behalf of Rick Pearson. God we praise you for what you have done so far today. We thank You that when doctors say 'no hope' you say 'be hopeful'. When doctors say 'irreversible' you say 'reversible'. I thank You that it is in your mighty power to reverse this situation. We humbly beg with everything within us REVERSE IT NOW! Let your glory fall on Rick in that ICU bed this instant. Wake him up in Jesus name that everyone can BEHOLD YOUR GLORY! Honor the prayers of your people. Send strength and peace and comfort for this family that is infinitely more than they've had thus far. Bring more hope. We know and believe that YOU ARE ABLE. We agree together right now that ALL THINGS are possible with You. God, my mind cannot even fathom the Glory you will receive upon Rick's total healing of his physical body. It makes me fall down in worship just to think about it. But, Lord help us to fall down in worship no matter what and as Suzanne prayed, Be glorified in our hearts no matter what. We fully trust You God. We can say that with all honesty. And we fully BELIEVE for our MIRACLE. In Your PRECIOUS Name we pray, AMEN

God says, Love is the greatest gift of all.......
My gift I give to you and yours is love, from the heart and soul of my being. I will poor my love out for you..... Because this is the greatest give we can give one another..... How awesome it is to be in the presence of other Christ like people, there is no other group of people I would rather be associated with.
I have a saying that I have always told my children growing up, "If you hang around a barber shop long enough you will end up with a hair cut". In other words, the company you associate with you will become. I am honored to be spending my time right here.

Tonight we all gathered at home to read God's Word and pray for Rick. I had such an overwhelming feeling knowing that 7pm so many prayers were being released at the same time. I felt at peace during this time.
What great news about the Bilirubin going down. This is just one of the steps in the right direction. Sleep peacefully tonight as God continues working to heal Rick.
Love,

Dear Lord Jesus: We pray Lord that Rick might touch but the hem of your garment and be made whole. We are ask you Lord for a miracle. Our prayers, our fast and our lives are but a vapor. We have no work, no self righteousness that would bring us even close to deserving anything. Yet, Lord, we look to you. Jesus, our righteousness is in you and humbly ask and pray that you will heal Rick's brain completely. Only You can heal Rick Jesus. You are our only hope in this life and in the life to come. We trust in you and seek you. We ask you Lord, please, for a miracle.

Psalm 95:1-7
"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship , let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care."
Father, thank you for your healing power. Thank you for the improvement we have already seen today in Rick's bilirubin. We are beleiving in You to do more that we could ever imagine. I pray right now for Rick's complete healing. Thank you for all that you are going to do! Amen.

Wow!! The spirit of the Lord is heavy in this place. His presence is here and He is doing something at this very moment that is so mighty that is beyond comprehension!!! During my time of prayer, I became desperate for scripture. Instead of searching through my Bible, I picked up my copy of Beth Moore's "Praying God's Word." This is the prayer the Lord is leading me to share with you at this hour:
Merciful and faithful Lord, because of Your great love, we are not consumed or disheartened, for Your compassions never fail!! They are new every morning; GREAT is Your faithfulness O Lord. We say to you, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him." Lord, You are good to those whose hope is in You, to the one who seeks You. We are seeking You Jesus with everything that is in us and our hope is in You alone. We know that You cause all things to work together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Lord, You are near to the brokenhearted and we praise you for that promise. Show us now Jesus how to look for You. Help us to see You at every turn, at every moment in the midst of this storm. We will not fear because You have redeemed us and called us by name. You promise to be with us as we pass through the waters. The rivers will not overflow us. As we walk through this fire, we will not be scorched! Teach us how to wait for You Lord...to be strong and to take courage! Jesus, You tell Your children that whatever we ask for in prayer will be ours if we are to believe that we already received it. So Jesus, we are proclaiming in one voice that we believe that the victory is ours. We believe that you are healing Rick's body, blood, brain, mind, soul, and spirit at this very moment. Sovereign Lord, we wait for You, our eyes are fixed on You, our hope is in You, and we thank You in advance for the complete restoration of our beloved Rick. We will forever proclaim Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your faithfulness! All the glory, honor and praise be Your's Jesus forever and ever! Amen!!!!!

Don't give up! Look Up! My husband, 3 kids and I just met and had a prayer time for Rick. We believe in the word of God, we believe He is the Word and we believe on asking to receive.
Jeremiah 33
1 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the guard: 2 "Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it--the LORD is his name:...6 Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security. 7 I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel, and rebuild them as they were at first. 8 I will cleanse them from all the guilt of their sin against me, and I will forgive all the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me. 9 And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them; they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it. 10 "Thus says the LORD: In this place of which you say, 'It is a waste without man or beast,' in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man or inhabitant or beast, there shall be heard again 11 the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring thank offerings to the house of the LORD: 'Give thanks to the LORD of hosts, for the LORD is good, for his steadfast love endures for ever!'

Candi,
We have been active and faithful in prayer. Praise God for all that He has given us in this, another day, with Rick.
Joel Thomas announced the upcoming benefit concert here at the Labor Day Retreat. We will be there. We gathered after the retreat, wishing you could have been there to lead, but knowing that you are leading right where you are most needed, and prayed for him.
Lord, we lift up our hearts and your good and faithful servant, Rick. Stun and astonish the medical community, to Your glory, with his miraculous recovery which can only be explained as a work of the one, true, living God.
Father, care for Rick as he fights faithfully, that the enemy will stay far from him while You work on what men would dare to call "irreversible". Comfort him and prepare him for a swift recovery and a return to service for our almighty King.
Lord - Your will, you perfect will, be done.

“But this precious treasure- this light and power that now shine within us- is held in perishable containers, that is, in our weak bodies. So EVERYONE can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own.” 2Corinthians 4:7 NLT
Trees of life are blooming
Your word plants the seed and we feel it growing
Your kindness leading to repentance
We see traces
Of deliverance
Lord, thank You for mercy
Oh, can you hear it?
It's the song of the redeemed
The pursuit of passion for the one who set us free
Oh, can you hear it?
We're crying out for more
Listen to our song
It's turning into a Holy Roar
Rivers of renewal
Spirit whisper a revival
And send us rushing
Open hearts with hopes of unity
Servants to love in lost humanity
Lord, send us reaching
Oh, we come rejoicing and singing and crying out to you, Lord
Can you hear the Holy Roar
My thoughts and prayers will remain with you!

We've spent much time in prayer and much time in battle. We know that God WILL be glorified and IS being glorified in a huge way. We also know great things are in store for Satan to be this upset. This is our affirmation that we're doing EXACTLY the right thing. Rest in this knowledge family, and know that you are not alone in what may seem to be a very solitary place. Hundreds if not thousands of people fight right along with you. We love you and can't wait to see you soon...we're standing right beside you.

Hi Rick and family,
I received an email from my brother, sent to him by a friend, and I immediately thought of you. I have seen many of these same Scriptures in some of the posts, and I thought it was so encouraging and such a great reminder (great timing, God!):
We are in a battle. ( Eph 6)...but not in it alone. We have a God and we have each other.
Battles are not picnics. Battles are dangerous and tense. A battle means you now have a whole new way of viewing circumstances. You are cautious. There is an enemy. This is a clever enemy who is not working in your best interest. But he will not overwhelm you.
God is bigger than your enemy and your problem. He is stronger than your adversary. If God be for us...who can be against us.
So...Be strong in the Lord. Be of good courage. It doesn't take courage to watch Oprah. It takes courage to endure..to stand for God in the battle. It takes courage to get up and go on when everything in you wants to stop. Encourage yourself in the Word.
Put on your FULL armour. Read Ephesians Chapter 6!
Stand firm, do not retreat! God is on your side. Know and remind yourself of the truth ( you are a child of God ) You have a listening Father! Claim the righteousness of Christ and do what is right, not what is convenient.
Be ready and willing to fight...prepare for the battle by reading the word. Have faith that God will do what He says he will do. He loves you. He knows your prayer BEFORE you even ask. Remember your position before God. YOU ARE HIS! He loves you He sees what is happening in your life. This battle did not surprise Him...And remember...when you pray, God answers right then...Don't say "when is God going to answer my prayer?!"
He doesn't have to think it over....so the answer to your prayer is either Yes, No, or Wait. The answer may be coming in 10 days or 25 days. We don't know when. But He answered your prayer when you prayed it. Now what is required of you is faith! ...Faith to believe that God is faithful! So wait on the Lord, BE OF GOOD COURAGE!
Persevere!
Fight back with the WORD! Claim a promise. " CAST YOUR CARES ON THE LORD HE WILL ( not might) ..HE WILL SUSTAIN YOU. HE WILL NEVER LET THE RIGHTEOUS FALL"
PRAY! The Prayer of a righteous man or woman is powerful and effective. Get up from your prayer knowing that the answer is on the way! Be Alert! Understand what is happening. You are being tested! ..again. God may be moving you from a good place to a better place...or maybe even the BEST place! S0..declare your faith openly before God and your adversary.
Job 42:2- Lord, I know that you can do all things: no plan of yours can be thwarted...
We are in a battle...but it will end in victory. There is no other outcome with Christ!
We continue to pray, to have faith, and to believe in the healing of Rick Pearson.
Love,
John, Megan and Ansley Greiner

Praise God! Heavenly Father, full of Grace and Truth, thank You! 2 points. That's amazing. Thank You God. You never cease to amaze us. Please, continue to amaze us. We're praying for you to move in Rick's body. We're praying over him, near and far. We're breathing Scripture over Him. We're worshiping over Him. God, Your word pierces joint and marrow. We believe that. Pierce his body, God...and restore Him. This is our prayer.

I love You, Lord and I lift my voice to worship You. Oh, my soul rejoice! Take joy, my King in what You hear. May it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.
Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and love. I thank You that You are faithful and hear the cries of Your children. I thank You for a time such as this to draw us together into Your presence. We continue to pray for Rick's healing, body and mind as You do a work in and through us as well. Into Your hands we commend our bodies and souls and all that is ours. We give You thanks heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son that You have this day so graciously protected us. By Your great mercy defend us from all the perils and dangers of this night. Let Your holy angels have charge over us, that the wicked one have no power over us. Rick, Candi, Jonathon, Elaine, Billy, Suzanne, Halie rest in the Love of our Father manifested through so many. God, watch over the hearts that are right there
In the mix of all this
Confusion, sadness, grief
Be with the questions, and provide answers
Watch over Rick tonight
and those He loves and those who love him
Rick, Candi, Jonathon, Elaine, Billy, Suzanne, Halie, Jeff, Shannon and anyone else not mentioned
Provide supernatural strength and energy
Sustain them all
May our prayers continue through the night
and provide rest and comfort from our present reality.
God you are more than able to turn this situation around with a thought
And it's easy to question your motive
easy to wonder why
easy to be angry and hurt by You
Please give everyone understanding
Let us in on Your knowledge, God
Thank You for the advances You already made
Bringing bilirubin down more today than these past weeks combined.
Hear your people
Hear our prayers
Our concerns and petitions
Hear our hearts and cries
Be with Mrs. Pearson. We can't begin to understand what she's going through
Give her peace. Give her rest. Give her Your gentleness and quiet understanding. Minister to her heart.
Watch over Candi. Sister. Friend. Fighter. Prayer Warrior. Bless her with the Blessings from Your purest place. Father, drench her with Your goodness. Her desire is to make Your name bigger! Her life is a testimony of her faith and dependency on You. Hear her prayers, God. Giv her a good night's rest, and strength for the morning.
Work in the lives of everyone there, Lord. Doctors, nurses, assistants, family members, friends, patients. Use Your people to shine in that room. In that hospital. Magnify Your name.
"You are beautiful beyond description...too marvelous for words...too wonderful for comprehension...like nothing ever seen or heard..."

Suzanne,
I am so sorry that I have not posted as I should...sometimes I struggle for the right words. The truth is that I may not have the right words to say at this time. However,I am glued to this website, constantly praying for all of you, and obsessed with the updates on Rick. I'm saying this for I know there are several others out there that feel as I do and can't find the right words to share. Some may not be able to share words to uplift you because they feel doubt or dissappointment not understanding why this is happening. I would like to encourage these people to post and share during this time. We need to let you (the family)know how your words of faith are changing our lives. Our words to you don't have to be perfect...God can use imperfect words for His purpose.
Suzanne, you are filled with so much hope! I stand in awe at how God is using you! You are truly an amazing and beautiful Godly woman. I'm sure all can see, after the prayer you led at MLC Sunday, just why Rick is still fighting!!!! Not only is God sustaining his life daily to fulfill His purpose, but I believe Rick is still fighting to make you his beautiful bride! I was so encouraged and touched by your prayer and I don't think I have ever known a family with so much faith...your faith is altering my relationship with God (as well as many others) in a great way! I want to thank you for your courage, for standing firm in the midst of this battle, and for just coming to be with us on Sunday. Having you there worshipping God made me feel like a part of Rick was with us. I miss the two of you...and I pray that God would restore Rick as he was. That we would be blessed to hear his beautiful voice lead us in worship once again! In the meantime, we are going to worship God like never before and wait on Him to do His work!
Candi, I don't know how anyone could read the words God gives you and not be changed (especially when you sing them)! As you go through this each day, please know that people are coming to the Lord and getting closer to God like never before. This is all because your faith as a family is not being shaken...I just don't know if you know how incredible that is!! Stand firm in your faith Suzanne, Candi and family...we are with you!
Love you guys!
Rachael

I have never personally met Rick, but like many, I am touched by his story. My family visited Mountain Lake in the past, so I have seen his talent.
My husband and I have seen the work of God's miracles first hand. We have been told many times that our 2 year old would never make it. He has kidney failure, and like you, we constantly pray for the numbers to be right. The truth is that we handed him to God a long time ago when all doctors had given up hope. We always knew who was in ultimate control and always trusted God's plans - no matter how hard. My little miracle is running around the family room right now like nothing is wrong. He still faces many surgeries and a transplant, but we know God has him here for a reason. He is such a testimony to everyone who knows his story - as I know you are and will be no matter what the outcome is. For years to come, people will talk about your story and your faith in the Father during this difficult time and your shining faith will be a great testimony.
My prayer for you is not only that the numbers will be right, but that God will continue to provide you with unconditional and unexplainable peace through this.

At 7 tonight I was standing on a rolling hill in north Georgia. I was able to see the beautiful sunset as it was beginning align over the mountain. I was able to hear the birds sing, the frogs begin to croak, the katydids were singing. A soft breeze kissed my face as John and I walked to a neighboring horse farm. We walked in silence as each of us were quietly contemplating, praying and worshipping God in his 'sanctuary.' I was filled with such hope - resonating throughout my entire being. I was thanking God for all that has been accomplished and all that will happen! I was claiming the victory in Jesus name with all of nature reminding me of who are creator is and why He is worthy to be praised.
With each prayer and petition - I could not stop thinking of Rick's smile and even more his laugh and the way he could double over if something was really funny. It made me smile and cherish God for his unique creation in each of us. God in His wisdom understands things I do not. He sees all of life and each page in the book - even though I do not. God knows the future and the past of everyone in every corner of the planet. He holds the balance of life in the palm of His hand. It was overwhelming to me to acknowledge this and then be reminded that this God of the universe loved me enough to give his son to suffer and die to reclaim me as his own. There are no words to describe this kind of amazing God - He is in fact is indescribable.
Oh God - we implore you to restore our beloved brother Rick. You are almighty God - we believe you and trust in You. We praise you for your endless love. We praise you for your redemption and salvation - we praise you for all you have done and will do! In all faith and with all hope we ask for this healing. We come boldly before your throne and ask to see your mighty work in complete restoration!
We are planted in the gap - and will not move. Our souls are forever bound to you, our friends in Christ. We will continue to petition our precious Jesus for restoration of dear Rick. We love you more than typed words or even spoken words can convey. Forgive our inadequacies in communicating what our hearts are deeply feeling. God knows our deepest groans of expressions we cannot utter. Our most fervent prayers are with you this night and every hour -
In every confidence of Restoration,
Jen for all of the Carrozza's

Rick, I know you don't know me, but I stumbled across your site today and found my heart breaking for you. My name is Jeff Clark, and believe me, I know about the healing power of God. It looks like you have quite a prayer army behind you, and that is what will get you through this. My twin brother had a severe brain aneurysm in March and we were not given any hope from the doctors. But due to God's wonderful grace, Jon is well on his way to recovery. We set up a website similar to yours for my brother, so I thank you and your family for having the courage to post updates on your condition and to ask for continued prayers. Through my experience, I know that your prayer army has become much greater than you ever imagined. How awesome is the power of prayer??? God DOES work miracles, continue to believe that. I believe that through His love and mercy, you too will recieve His healing on your road to a full recovery. I will continue to pray for you, Rick. Remember, God is who He says He is, and He can do what He says He can do!
Whenever things look down, I often am reminded of this verse:
"I called on your name, O Lord, from the depths of the pit; you heard my plea, 'Do not close your ear to my cry for help, but give me relief!' You came near when I called on you; you said, 'Do not fear!'"
Lamentations 3:55-57
In His Grip,
Jeff Clark

Rick,
As I continuously read these posts, it seems as if hours fade into days, and days into weeks. It seems as if time is going by in slow motion, and we are not seeing results as swiftly as we wish we could.
But I can't help but think... though our mortal minds may be counting days and hours, I remember that God's time is not our time. In fact, there is no ‘time’ as far as He is concerned. Though the doctors said that they wished to see you improve within this week, I think, "What is a week to God? How do the created give the creator a deadline?” He is the Beginning and the End…who are we to declare such? He was able to create man in a day, yet he decided to take nine months to very carefully create every part of your being. Sometimes he heals in an instant; sometimes He chooses to prolong the process, and in the meantime test our trust and a faith in Him.
So, I wait not on doctors’ word, or your indication of improvement. I wait patiently, only on Him who is in control of all things. When God created you, he had a clear vision of who you would be. I am waiting for the complete vision to be fulfilled in you, Rick!
Standing in unwaivered faith,
Melody
Habakkuk 2:2-4
Then the LORD said to me, "Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else. But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
"Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked;[ but the righteous will live by their faith.

Yesterday during the fast, the Holy Spirit provided a constant echoing, "Be still, and know that I am God." This morning, I found the verse in Psalm 46:10, and it continues, "I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The Lord is indeed being glorified through Ricky, through you, through all who participate in prayer and fasting, and no doubt, through those who are touched by this situation. We continue to wait upon Him and watch His purposes being fulfilled.
The very next verse (Ps 46:11) reminds us of whose we are. "The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress." Praise be to God, the Almighty One and Only, our comforter and defender!

Keep on coming down Bilirubin! That's great...2 more points! Amazing. I bet doctors have no explanation as to why this is happening. I'll let ya'll handle that job. :)
Blessed be the Name of the Lord today! I'm excited to read about what He will do today concerning Rick's family and Rick. May peace reign in your hearts.
