9/4/05 URGENT
Precious Friends,
Thank you for continuing to pray and believe and inquire with us. We now have news from the neurologist to share with you.
It has been one week that Rick has been off of sedation. The neurologist was giving him this time to see if there would be any improvement. Today he has said that it does not look good... the damage, he says, is irreversible. This is not easy for us to hear, yet we know it isn't the final word, either! We feel deeply in our hearts that God is not relenting in urging us to pray. So we will not! I ask you- no, I'm begging you- please join us as we are on our faces before our Father, pleading for the restoration of Rick.
Jesus, we need you desperately! We need your Spirit to be heavy. We need your power to flood my brother, invading the brain that doctors have given up on, coarsing through the veins that need your nourishment. God, we pray that your glory would saturate Rick's room, pouring out into the ICU, throughout the entire hospital. Lord, as we pray to you right now, we pray with wonderfully expectant and beautifully cared-for hearts, knowing that our tears and our prayers are not in vain, knowing that you are in our midst, holding us and holding Rick. We believe you! We trust you! You are worth this! Hear from our hearts, you are worth this! We hold to your promises, to your truth. We hope in You, and we know that you, Healing Savior, have perfect plans for your servants! We believe you for healing and restoration. We are honored to be part of this God-glorifying moment in time! Keep moving, drawing, caring, healing, turning hearts. We will keep our eyes fixed on you, the AUTHOR and PERFECTER of our faith! Glorify!
..."then we will see the Glory of the Lord revealed."
His.

We are here with you all. We are praying continuously for all of you, but especially for Rick. We love you, and if there is anything that we can do, please let us know. We have people all across the country praying for this situation. Don't give up.

I will continue to fight with you. I lay upon my color "prayer rug" in my dorm for you. Your family has been the main reason this room is seasoned with prayer. I love you all. Thank you for your ministry to us through your trials. Rick is bringing Glory to our King. You all are bringing Glory to our King.

Praying expectantly for the perfect restoration of Rick's brain function. When I was in the hospital, I had a picture that I held so close to my heart to get me through minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day. It is a picture of Jesus holding a lamb so tenderly close to His chest. He is holding each of you close to Him and I just know that He has Rick nuzzled right into His chest. Feeling every heart beat and every breath. Praise God for your faithfulness. He is our hope.

Candi,
What a heartfelt and moving prayer. I echo each and every word up to our Loving and Merciful Father in Heaven. I pray for mercy for Rick and your entire family, that our wonderful Lord and Savior would restore Rick to complete health. May we all draw comfort in the knowledge that the Lord has all of this worked out and His righteous, holy and perfect will -- will be done.

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isaiah 40:28 & 29)
"I took you from the ends of the earth, from it's farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:9 & 10)
Thank you Lord for sustaining us with Your strength as we run this race. We are patiently, yet eagerly waiting for our appointed time to pass this baton to You.

This morning when I woke up I prayed for a break through. And I know that He is breaking through to everyone reminding us that it is not in our power but in His that all things work for good. This verse stuck out at me and it is everything that we as a family believe.
2 Corinthians 4:15-18
"All of these things are for your benefit. And as God's grace brings more and more people to Christ, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are quite small and wont last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever! So we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever."

as the weeks have passed, Rick and the family have been lifted up by THOUSANDS around the globe praying for healing and peace. This has not changed. We bow before you, Abba, asking for healing on your precious son, Ricky. We know you are in control, Father, and we pray in faith that You will reveal your will to us in these days. Thank you for being such a beautiful, knowing God. You are amazing, and we humble ourselves in worship before You.

We have been praying all along and are still. God's timing isn't the same as ours, and we won't give up hope. 2 years ago we were told my mom wouldn't wake up from brain surgery, but w/ lots of prayer and belief she did and is good now. God's will will be done and until we know what it is, our job is to pray. And we know God doesn't mind begging. Will and I begin each conversation asking the other about Rick that day and if we have prayed. Love to each of you.

Dear Pearson Family,
I wanted to say how much of a blessing it has been for me to be a prayer warrior for Rick and your family. I had not met Rick personally, but felt as if I knew him through Phil Rogers and his family, and this website. Rick's love for the Lord, and his incredible musical talent has been such a blessing and inspiration to me. Please know that my heart is both saddened by his passing and joyous because I know he is with the Father. The Father is saying well done, good and faithful servant! I can not express all that I want to say in this note, but please know that I am continuing to pray for each of you, including Suzanne. God bless you for raising an incredible Man of God! A man after God's own heart! I can only imagine the joy he has right now sitting at Abba Daddy's feet. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
In His Love,
Nancy K.
