8/21/05 AM Update

Friends,

Allow me to paint you a picture...

In a small room at a hospital in Atlanta, a weary family gather's around Rick's custom painted tomato red ibook. They gather to gain strength from the tireless prayers of their brothers and sisters around the city, country and world. As God in His merciful plan would have it, there were many of us who could not sleep last night and spent the night praying and posting so that there were new mercies to greet Rick's family this morning. God sustained Rick through the night and he is stable this morning.

Many new challenges will be faced today, but fortunately, today has a new set of mercies and we don't have to rely on the mercies from yesterday. I don't know about you, but the worship of our Father in churches all across this country takes on quite a new and almost painfully close awareness for me. As Lanny so simply put it in one of his posts...Rick is still leading us in worship and doesn't even know it! So...as you head to your places of worship, know that there are countless people in every time zone imaginable taking the baton of prayer and posts while you take some time to gather in corporate worship with your families. Thanks to the miracle of modern technology and the beauty of wireless high-speed internet, I will never be more than a phone call and an email blog away from keeping you completely up to date as I also head out to worship with my family.

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us REJOICE and be glad in it! His unfailing love is higher than the heavens and His faithfulness touches the clouds. His glory shines over all of the earth!

Glenn and I have kept up with Rick's illness through the website this past week. We are members of Suzanne's home church in Spanish Fort. We have been made ever aware that our God is such an awesome God and Rick is such a special child in His sight, that He would use Rick in such a special way to draw others closer and bring honor and glory to His name. We are praying for the family and all those keeping vigil at Rick's bedside. Know that you are in our prayers. We lift Rick up and ask that God intervene and heal his body. We lift all of you up and ask that God give each of you physical strength to deal with these long, tough days. May God receive glory.

Dear Rick's family - we don't know you but we got an urgent e-mail prayer request for Rick this week and we have been praying. We have had you all on our mind and find ourselves going to this site all hours of the day to check on him. What an incredible testimony his life continues to be for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!! We are praying for God to give you extra strenght today as he continues his perfect healing in Rick.

Thank you for sharing your lives with us. What an honor!

Good morning Rick!! We continue to pray as so many others do, for your body to be healed, for the doctors to know the "right" next step to take, for your family to have the strength they need, for all of us out here praying to know God is in control. Always. We, too, pray that we will see you up on that stage, leading worship through your special way again. We miss you. We recognize that you are one of God's special angels and we know He is working in you and through you still. We are headed to church where we will Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things.....Isiah 12:5 and we take you with us in prayer. God is in control.

Rick and family,
We have been heavily burdened this week as we try to continue working in the midst of this. At every opportunity we have taken time to pray for you all. I can't even begin to describe the feeling running through me today as I woke up ... all I can say is that it is the feeling of something glorious in the works. I can't wait to see what God does. We love you guys!

My husband and I prayed for Rick this morning before he left for church. He's on our hearts and minds and so are you, the people who love him and whom he loves.

God bless you in this journey. The Christian life is, after all, simply a journey with, for, and by God. May Rick's journey today be blessed beyond anything we can comprehend.

Lord, God, please bless Rick with your amazing presence and please bless those who are with him in the journey. We love you, Lord. We praise you, Lord and we long for you, Lord. Amen

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him,
for he is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear,
now to his temple draw near;
praise him in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who
o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,
shelters thee under his wings,
yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen
how thy desires ever have been
granted in what he ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord,
who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
surely his goodness and mercy
here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew
what the Almighty can do,
if with his love he befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord,
O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath,
come now with praises before him.
Let the amen
sound from his people again,
gladly for aye we adore him.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Praise to our God! Rick, you are the most special of people. One of the most completely unselfish people I've ever had the privilige of knowing. May God's Spirit be ever close to all of you today. Our prayers are steadfast. I claim in the name of Jesus- who defied the grave - his promise of life! May God bring his comfort and healing to you in a very undeniable way.

Candi, Elaine, Billy, Suzanne, Jonathan - we are all praying for you by name -every moment that passes. Our body of Christ around our small world today are praying without ceasing for you and our brother Rick. May God continue to sustain your strength this morning.

II Kings 20 1-6 These verses have helped this house to keep on fighting in prayer. A friend of mine in Washington D.C called me with this verse and encouragement to let me know this was his cry.He told me Rick's illness has challenged him in new ways as he now learns to pray passionatley for a brother in Christ he has never met. In these verses, King Hezekiah has become deathly ill and begins crying out to the Lord saying, "Remember, O Lord how I have always tried to be faithful to you and do what is pleasing in your sight." Then he broke down and wept bitterly. This is what the Lord says," I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you and in three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the temple of the Lord." Our God is awesome and he is truly hearing our cries for Rick and the family.

Rick,
I have to tell you that when I arrived at Mountain Lake last night I was a bit sad because you weren't going to be there but there is NO place on the planet I would have rather been.

While I sang; cheered for those being baptized; and listened to Chad's message I couldn't help but think that in the midst of our conflicting emotions, God is with us showing us His unfailing love at every turn. I pray that your family feels it too.

We continue to pray for your healing and for God's strength for Suzanne, Candi, your mom, and your family.

Thank you again, Shannon and Jeff, these blogs are such a blessing.

Rick and his family

What strength you have had during this. God knows the burdens you carry, the sleepless nights, the questions, the hope with encouragement as you continue to pray for this healing. As we walk with the Lord, our paths go into different directions, when we encounter mountains, He can lift us over them. Please know that this mountain can be overcome because of your strong faith and comfort within your hearts as He reaches out to each and everyone of you and says "Trust Me". My prayers are for your hearts to be comforted knowing you are surrounded by so much love from Heaven and Earth. God bless each and everyone of you and know that I am continuing to believe that God needs Rick here on Earth because He is not finished with all that Rick can do for Him through his life.

I am praying for you and your family many times every day. You are an amazing person with an angelic soul and voice. When you sang at the baseball field, Indescribable, while coaching first base, it was amazing. For you to do that in a baseball game showed how important your faith is to you. I pray that God heals you so that we can hear your beautiful voice again soon and witness your angelic soul.

To Rick's family: I can't imagine what you are going through right now, but I do know that the Lord is with you. Continue to have faith. It will hold you through it.

We prayed for you at Mountain Lake this morning, i continue to pray everyday, this has taught me how to pray, how to talk to God, which I find myself doing many times through the day, since this all began. We miss you Rick. May God heal you and return you to us.
Thank you so much for taking time to keep us updated.

For all you who have been in the waiting room these many days, Suzanne, Barbie, and Henry, although not physically present with you, we are by your side every step of the way. The storm you are passing through is overwhelming at times, but the one who controls the wind and the sea continues to hear your prayers. Is. 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, "This is the way; walk in it."

We have prayed, pray and will continue to pray... One of our friends that we invited to mountain lake said to me yesterday that Rick was one of the reasons they continued to come to mountain lake - what a blessing he is in so many lives - and as it has already been said, He continues to lead us in worship even through the circumstances at hand .... The Lord is perfect in his plan for each one of us as in His plan for Rick's life!! Please know our hearts go out to each one of you and we continue to lift you up in our prayers.

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5:16

The Phenix Family is praying the comfort and rest found in our Savior for your family. We are praying that God will show his glory in healing Rick. We know He is able.

Thank you for continuing to be faithful and ministering to all of us through your example of what it looks like to be a family facing trouble but never turning from the God that they worship. I pray that your family will know Him more intimately than ever...

Candi, as you are always good at reminding us after having "sung to the king" a million times, God is ALREADY victorious for us (and Rick!) because of the cross. We wont forget that. We believe in that today and as we look to tomorrow. We pray for an earthly victory in the return of Rick's health and are rejoice in Rick's (and our) heavenly victory by knowing Christ.

Know that we are here for you and to call on us if we can help in any way. I'm serious about that.

Ricky, in the midst of this situation, it makes my heart leap for joy to know how many people you have touched! You have a HUGE support group constantly thinking about you and lifting you up to God. That is so amazing to me. Just know that John and I are among that group.

Suzanne- I have said it before, but I am sooo glad that Ricky has found such an amazing person to spend his life with. You are amazing! And, I believe God has his hand on both of you and this situation.

Elaine- My heart breaks for what you must be going through emotionally...but you are such a strong woman, and I know you have amazing faith. I think of you especially, and I wish there was something I could do. Just know that I am on my knees for all of you....

Billy- You are one of the sweetest, most Godly men I know. I just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you. (I hope you enjoyed the tootsie rolls :)...)

Candi- Girl, I have looked up to you forever. You are amazing...and such a strong person. I am so glad that it worked out so that you could be there with Ricky and your family, because you brought with you so much strength and faith...it was almost tangible. Keep it up, my friend! And, if there is anything I can do just give me a call. Let me know if you still want some help for the concert.

Jonathan- What a great guy you are..I barely know you, and yet you take me in like we've been friends forever. Thanks for the encouragement while I was there. I know you've brought so much to this family.

Haley Myrl- I wish I could see you and give you the biggest hug ever. Like everyone else, I am thinking about you and praying for you all.

Love you guys,
Hannah

Candi-

I don't know if you remember me, but my name is Tonya D'Hollosy and you came to a fundraiser that I had for my leukemia foundation and you sang the National Anthem (it was with the Harlem Globetrotters). I am really good friends with Rodney Anderson and he has been keeping me updated on Rick.

Since I first heard I have been praying for Rick continually. I was diagnosed with leukemia 5 years ago and am doing well and I hope that in some small way that gives you hope.

Because of what I went through is why I started my foundation, OneLife Leukemia Foundation, in order to help others like Rick and your family.

I just wanted to let you and your family know that I would love to do whatever I can to help you raise any money needed to help pay for any of Rick's expenses. If you need ANYTHING at all please feel free to contact me at onelifefoundation@juno.com or 404-641-0750.

I will be praying for you all!!!

Yesterday, I was with some friends, and one asked me if I remembered Rick Pearson. My reaction, of course, was "How could I forget that good looking guy with the guitar?" But my attitude soon changed when I was told his condition. Today, another friend showed me this website, and I am so glad that I have a way to tell the whole family that I am thinking about them! I remember Rick with his guitar, coming up to Northview High School. Although it was only a few times, and I probably never spoke to him, I still remember him. Oh, and the fact that Mrs. Holk never ceased to talk about her kids has something to do with that too. He has touched so many people, and I don't beleive I realized the impact he had on my life with his ministry until this day, when I was reading the updates of his condition. But my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know that if any family is able to stay strong through this situation...it is THIS family! I will definitely be telling others to pray for Rick, and for continued strength in the family.

I really enjoyed a comment from Haley on one of the other posts. She said something about Rick is just sitting the bench, God is going to put him back in the game. I can't think of a better way to say it!

First of all, Shannon, thank you, thank you, thank you. You have been so diligent and consistent in keeping the world up to date with Rick's condition and it is most appreciated. Never having met any of you and, more than likely, never will until we meet in heaven, I have found myself becoming attached to each of you in only a way that God can make happen. Every posting is uplifting and encouraging and so I thank God for all of you. Rick was lifted in prayer this morning during our prayer and share time and, again, as only God can orchestrate, our first song of the morning worship was "This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." In His Love!

I've worked at Big Stuf with Rick and Candi and Jonathan and gotten to know Suzanne for three summers and needless to say their influence has been tremendous. This morning when I woke up the familiar hook we sang at Big Stuf was in my head:

"Oh praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead!"

Christ is the conquerer of death and in that there is freedom from fear. I'm praying for you guys the best I know how and thinking of all of you constantly. God's in the business of showing his miraculous glory and I believe he will do so in this more than ever. And Ricky, you still owe me an "I played chicken with a train" rap lesson!

To Rick's family and friends,
You are all such an encouragement and testimony of God's strength, glory, & mercy. Please know you are lifted up continuously. You are loved.

Praise to God for a Living Hope
1 Peter 3-9
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the ressurrection of Jesus Chrsit from the dead, and into inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade- kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even through refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

Hi Rick & Family -

We sat in church this morning listening to Chad teach, thinking and praying about you guys, and just praising God for all that He has done and will continue to do through you. Your faith, your strength, and your patience is a blessing and an inspiration to all of us.

There was a man holding a sleeping baby in front of me this morning. As we sang, I watched him sleep peacefully and thought of you. Rick, I know God is holding you in His arms. He is watching you and loving you through all of this.

Our family continues to pray earnestly for your healing Rick. We have called on our friends and family to do the same.

We love you. God Bless.

"In every situation, there are always two stories: the story you see and the story God sees.

Sometimes life seems to be taking us down a huge detour and everything looks like it's not going our way. In those situations, our life and our story seems to be a disaster.

This is exactly what happened to Joseph, whose story is found in Genesis 37-50. Joseph's brothers jealously hated him and sold him into slavery. Joseph was wrongfully put in prison for raping Potifer's wife, when really he refused to compromise his integrity by sleeping with her. Then, Joseph helped get the chief cupbearer out of jail; however, when the cupbearer had an opportunity to return the favor and get Joseph out of jail, the man forgot about Joseph. Joseph ended up spending thirteen years in jail for something he didn't do.

At this point Joseph's story was going haywire, but God's story was right on track. That's because God had an amazing plan for Joseph's life; God was going to use Joseph to save Egypt and the surrounding lands from seven years of devastating famine. What looked to Joseph like a huge detour was really a great plan of God to provide food for countless people, including the very brothers that had sold Joseph into slavery.

At the end of this, Joseph realized that God had a bigger plan for his life, and after his brothers come to him for food, he tells them: "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives" (Genesis 50:20).

All along, God's story was right on track.

This same principle is also true in the life of Jesus. To the disciples, it looked as those Jesus would be a great king who would rule Israel and return the nation to greatness. They hailed him as the next prominent leader of Israel. So, when Jesus was being crucified, the story they saw looked like a major train wreck -- this promising leader whom they had followed for the past three years was suddenly dead. However, God's story was at its peak: God was in the process of connecting humanity to himself.

There's what you see and what God sees.

When your life seems to be a major disaster; know that God has bigger plans to use your life for great things. The story you see may not reflect the long-term story God has planned. Therefore, trust God, knowing that he will work for good in all circumstances (Romans 8:28)."

(taken from www.christnotes.org)

You are all being uplifted in prayers every moment.

This passed weekend, at a youth conference at Freedom Tabernacle, in Cumming, Georgia, Rick's life and health was lifted up. Also, at a meeting of singles at Further, a ministry of North Georgia Bible Chapel, again, Rick's complete restoration was the topic of prayer. Across this entire community, it's hard to come in contact with someone who ISN'T believing for Rick's healing. It's amazing to see/hear how many lives Rick has obviously impacted. I think it's a true testament to what a wonderful man of God Rick is. I'm sure his family must be so proud of him- just as I know our Heavenly Father is. You could never know how many people are praying for Rick, and for you- his family. I can't wait to see how God plans to manifest His glory in and through Rick's life and restoration!

Dear Rick,
We got word of your situation last week and were blessed to begin praying for God's healing mercies and grace for you! There are two churches in Austin (that I know of, maybe more) that are praying for you! Thanks for the updates so we know how to pray. We also pray for a powerful sense of God's presence, peace, calm and joy at being held in the hands of our Savior, for you, your family and friends. In reading the blogs, it is amazing how much God is being glorified by your love for Him, even in the midst of these trials. We are believing total healing for you, and want you to come to our church at First Evangelical Free of Austin, Texas to visit and share your testimony when you get better. We have a huge high school and college ministry, and it would be awesome to hear you sing. God bless you and keep you my brother! We won't quit praying!
In Jesus,
Bruce

PS I was diagnosed with leukemia 3 years ago, and God has it on the run! The percentage of disease in my most recent biopsy has shrunk down to next to nothing, by the power of prayer!!! I am praying and believing God will do the same for you! Amen!

Hi, my name is Laura and I don't know Rick, but I found a link to this site by a friend. I just wanted to say that I will be praying for Rick and his family! May God bless you all and help you pull through these hard times!

Rick, Haley, Elaine and family,
Our church at Bratt First Baptist held special prayer this morning for all of you -- that Rick will be healed of this sickness, and that his family will be strengthened physically, emotionally and spiritually as a result of going through all of this together. Please know that everyone back home is thinking and praying for you all. My son , who is now 10, reminded me of a time when I was running late at school (as a teacher at Northview), and Rick came zipping through the parking lot in his car. I asked Rick if he would drop my son off at his little elementary school down the road. Of course, Rick did it . My son told me that while on the way to school, Rick mentioned God to him and reminded him to do things throughout the day that would please our heavenly father. My child was 6 at the time, and he still remembers this conversation with Rick, who was a senior at Northview at the time. What a testament to the kind of child Rick was and the kind of man he has become. We're praying for you continually, and are asking others to join in everywhere that we go. Vicki Baggett and family

We prayed as a church today for Rick and family. Just wanted you to know that prayers are being said in mass as well as individually here in Springfield, IL.
We'll keep updated through this wonderful system you have put in place for all of us who care and are concerned with Rick and the family's well-being. Thank you for taking the time to keep the site current Shannon and Jeffrey. What an inspiration to others to show what a true "friend" is like.

Rick...We love you dearly. I look at you as a son and wish I could make all your pain go away. Our family has been praying for you so many times throughout the days...you are continually on our minds. Even John Christian went to a different church with a friend this morning, and told him of you and they prayed for you. God is using you in so many different ways. He is helping my son who is 10 begin to understand the "body of Christ" and sharing spiritual things with his friends. Thank you for being such a faithful servent of God and for letting your faith shine bright for all to see!!

Love to you and your family and Suzanne!

Hello Suzanne,

This blog is for you especially. I have cried for you, worried for you, and most importantly prayed for you and Rick these past few weeks. Throughout the day, all day, everyday, I sit at my computer and want to write something but I can never find the words. My heart breaks when I think of Rick, being in a position where he has no control of his situation. Then of you, being there with him and being able to do nothing for him, but pray. And then it dawned on me...there is nothing better that you can do for him except pray. As children of God, we have the most powerful weapon available to us to combat anything Satan throws our way. And as I read the blogs each day I am awed at how many Christians around the world are using this miraculous weapon and tapping in to the unlimited power of God Almighty. I watched Rick closely at FSCC and I saw a man that God had his hand on...and I knew that great things would be in his future. I know that God has a special plan for him. And I watched you from a far, not knowing you intimately, but still able to see the love of God in everything you did. He brought you together, and oh how much stronger you will be having lived through this fire!

Jesus laid in that tomb for 3 long days...dead to his friends and family. And oh, how Satan rejoiced...just as he is rejoicing as Rick lays in that hospital bed in Atlanta. But God was not finished with his Son, nor do I believe he is finished with Rick Pearson! Do not be intimidated by the liar and the thief...trying to make sense of this terrible situation and trusting your own understanding of it is just what Satan wants you to do. But trust in the Lord with all of you heart. You know the truth, the truth that God is alive and well, and completely in control of the leukemia in Rick's body! He speaks and it obeys. Satan has no hold on Rick, nor on you. I pray you find peace, comfort and strength in the arms of your Father.

Can't wait to see you and Rick again. I love you dearly.

Hey Rick and Rick's family, you guys probably don't know me, i worked at Big Stuf the past two summers, just wanted to say that i've been praying the hardest i've prayed in a long time for Rick's recovery, i don't know Rick all that well, but what i do know of him is that the man he is on stage leading worship is no different from the man he is backstage...doesn't really make sense i know but i think you get the point. And in today's culture where what people are in front of people is most of the time vastly different from who they are when they're not on stage that is really saying something. Just wanted to let you guys know that i'm praying for you all.

Ricky,
It is so hard to believe that all of this is happening to you. It has been a long time since I have seen you and your family, but there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you and all the memories of growing up with you. You were always like a big brother to me, someone I could talk to. Mama, Daddy, and Jordan think of you often and are praying for your healing. I know that we can not hear your beautiful voice right now but you have definitely put a song in our hearts. Stay strong and congratulations to you and Suzanne. We love you!

God Bless.

Hi, this is Janell, Suzanne's friend. I just left the hospital after spending the weekend with your wonderful family and friends, and I left more encouraged than sad like I would've thought. Your family is SO strong and steadfast in their strength and faith. I went into the hospital thinking this was going to be a long and sad weekend, and while it was emotional it was mostly a praise weekend! Every time the doctors told us they've done all they could Elaine and Candi would rejoice because they know God is about to roll up His sleeves and take over!!! How amazing is that? When most people fall down and give up this family is falling on their knees and seeking God and pounding on His door until his answer, PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!! I kept being told that I was a blessing this weekend, but I'm telling you that I was the one blessed, my faith was reaffirmed and renewed by the blessed family.

I don't know what God has planned for Rick, but I know that whatever it is this family will thank God for his wisdom and hope. Rick, you are such an inspiration even as you sleep, God is touching thousands by your spirit!!! But Lord...it's time to wake that boy up so he can marry my girl!!!

In HIS AWESOME NAME,
Janell

Rick,

You will be so amazed to read this and know that your pain and illness and suffering have done so much good for so many. Jesus died to forgive us of our sins and your pain has been the underlying reason for so much spiritual growth! Rick, you will love to know that because of your families and your constant faith so many have been touched. Personally, you have motivated me to join connection group, make a persoanl goal to tithe EVERY month and also to attend service EVERY Sunday without excuse. You have motivated me to be the very best I can be--Thank you Rick for all you have done for me, I so miss your beautiful voice in the mornings and can't wait to buy your first CD!! Suzanne, your engagement picture with Rick is so beautiful, you look so in love, I admire your strength.

Rick & Family - I heard of your illness and dire need for prayer through my church's prayer chain email. I am lifting you all up in my thoughts and prayers on a daily basis. In Jesus name, I pray for complete healing - cancer go away. I pray for Rick to be able to get up out of that bed and lead praise and worship for many more days of his life. I pray for infinite wisdom among the health care professionals to know what to do, and I pray that God will bless you all with strength, peace, and mercy during this trying time. I'll be watching for daily updates. Please email me if there is anything I or my church family can do!

Since I heard about your illiness I have constantly been in a state of prayer for you and your precious family. We never know what God has in store for us, but HE is in control. I will never forget your smiling face, beautiful voice, great and awesome spirit and outlook on life. You are an inspiration to me !(especially during "Christmas On the Coast") Remember what the choir said after you and Laura sang "Emmanuel" during dress rehearsal? Everyone felt God was present at that dress rehearsal and God was at the performance. That same "Emmanuel, Prince of Peace, our LORD and SAVIOR" is there with you right now. We are all praying for you!

Thank you for letting me take this opportunity to take a moment of your time to let you know that we are thinking of Rick, and we know that God is at his side.

Dear Rick and Family,
What an amazing thing God is doing through Rick, to reach so many people. Rick, you will be happy to know God has used you in a very powerful way to moved many, many people towards the Lord and they probably dont even know why, but we do. Because, Jesus wants everyone to have a personal relationship with him and if that means using Rick to do it, than that is what God is going to do. If we just get out of the way, and let God work through us all, his kingdom will be glorified, ten fold.

Rick's home church, Mountain Lake Church in Cumming, GA was packed out in both services today! We had to keep adding more and more chairs. People are praying that have probably, not prayed in a long time. What can I say, it's a God thing!

We all say, what a great and mighty thing God has done, we give him all the glory. Lord, let your will be done not mine, no matter how you want to use us all. Amen

Romans 8:18 - I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Rick, God's glory will and is being revealed in and through you. Through the words of those posting, many of us all over the world and here in Arizona are so blessed and encouraged by words of trust, love, faith and hope. It has brought me to my knees for you and your family as I cry out to the one who knows us best and loves us most. You have challenged me to love deeper and live my life for Him all the more. Thank you. I'm sure many feel the same as we sit at His feet for you, praying without ceasing. It is an honor to intercede and lift you and your dear family and friends up in prayer.

As I was describing you to a friend of mine praying for you here in Phoenix, AZ, "he is so passionate about his praise and points us to the throne in such a deep and incredible way. He has an contagious smile, so much talent and God-energy!" My prayer is that you are fully healed and restored as I know you will take your incredible testimony to the ends of the earth singing His praise! God's glory will be revealed in you. Praise Jesus!

From one of our prayer warriors:

Praying. And praying that Jesus would protect him and keep him; that this sickness would not be unto death, but unto the glory of Jesus, the glory of God! A young youth minsister here, a missionary to Africa in his 20's, to be married to his beloved, Robby had cancer of the eye, no time left to live, per the doctors; God answered and miraculously healed. God is not finished with us yet, and as the enemy has seemed to focus on bringing pastors down with illness, not just adultery, we ask in the Name of Jesus, for Rick's miraculous, as it only can be, healing. And that God would strengthen the health of each of those faithful to preach and share the Good News of Jesus Christ's salvation freely given to all, and give them sustenance that is only found in Him Alone. May Rick's story encourage others, draw others to Jesus, and bring the Lord Jesus Glory according to His will.

Thank you Bruce for sharing the testimony updates on Rick. We are praying.

Dear Rick and Family (including Suzanne - you are family!),
God is amazing as you all know. I am so thankful you have, love, and trust Him through this time. You have such a wonderful family. I have been praying for all of you throughout everyday since the diagnosis (and even before). There have been many times where I have been able to personally pray for you with people that don't even know you - this has been a cool experience for me. To see other people lift you up to our Heavenly Father. This past week I was with my family and was unable to see the website. I had been getting updates through friends so I can continually be praying specifically. This website is amazing and such a blessing.

I just want you to know, I have signed up to bike a race with Team in Training/Leukemia & Lymphoma society....and I would be grateful to have Rick as one of my honored heros. These heroes are the people who make what the Team is doing so important and urgent. While it is an earthly cure our Team supports, I believe God will supply his miracle to Rick and surpass any understanding our minds have of the situation.

May God continue to enfold your entire family and loved ones in his arms!

You make us excited about GOD again and are the main reason we decided to join Mountain Lake Church. Our prayers are that Rick be completely healed and given back to us on earth. He can do so much for GOD here, even though we know he has done a lot already for our LORD and SAVIOUR. Praise the LORD for no seizures. Please, fix those liver levels and restore Rick's brain to its full potential.
